How this website handles your information

This page describes what cincinnatihomeownersinsurance.com does with the information you type into it. It is written to match how the site actually works.

What the website collects

While you work through the quote questionnaire, your answers are saved only in your own browser's local storage so that a refresh resumes where you left off. Nothing is sent while you answer. Saved answers are removed from your browser automatically after 24 hours.

When you reach the last step, tick the consent box and press Send my quote request, your answers are sent once to Cincinnati Homeowners Insurance: your name, email address, phone number, street address, ZIP code, date of birth and your answers about the home. With them we record the time, your IP address, your browser and the consent wording you agreed to, so we can show when and how you asked to be contacted. That information goes into the customer-management system our agents use to prepare your quote, and your saved copy is then cleared from your browser.

The ZIP code you enter on the homepage is passed to the questionnaire page in the address bar (for example quote.html?zip=44705).

This website does not run a credit check. The credit question is your own estimate, and you can answer “Not sure”.

Cookies and third parties

This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The only third-party service it loads is Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces; Google's handling of font requests is described in Google Fonts' privacy notes.

How we use it

If you call (513) 450-6688 or email hello@cincinnatihomeownersinsurance.com, or send the questionnaire, we use what you tell us to prepare and discuss insurance quotes for you. Where you have ticked the consent box in the questionnaire, you have authorised Cincinnati Homeowners Insurance to contact you by phone, text message and email about your quote; you can withdraw that consent at any time by replying STOP to a text or asking us by email.

We do not sell your information.
